Following recent Scottish Government advice that Scotland was moving out of Lockdown to Phase 1 of their route out of the Covid - 19 crisis, the wind farm sites are now back open to visitors, for unrestricted outdoor exercise. The visitor car park will be opened this Friday and weekend, and will be open as normal on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the month, in line with Government guidelines.

The Wind Farms have continued to operate as normal throughout the lockdown period of the Covid 19 pandemic, with essential maintenance being carried out under strict biosecurity and hygiene measures.  The sites were closed to visitors during the "Lock Down" phase of the public health response to the Coronavirus outbreak.  The Scottish Government has asked that exercise should continue to be taken locally, not more than around 5 miles from home.  So visitors are welcome from as far afield as Lochgilphead and Tarbet, but we would ask that those from further away to be patient and stay away, until we are advised that we are able to travel further.  There is plenty of space, so please keep your distance from other visitors, keep well away from those working on site, and please take your litter home.  A walk or cycle up to the windfarm is good for our physical and mental health in these strange days. The views remain spectacular.
